Oeuvre’s automated cycle is designed to reduce dependence on an additional manual act during an already full patient encounter.
1. Place
Insert the stethoscope into the hanger bracket.
2. Close
Close the chamber door and the 60-second cycle begins automatically.
3. Clean Hands
Perform customary hand hygiene while the disinfection cycle is underway.
4. Retrieve
A green indicator light signals completion of the cycle and the stethoscope may be retrieved.³
A built-in safety feature immediately turns off the UVC LEDs if the chamber door is opened before completion of the one-minute cycle.³
UVC Technology. Precisely Applied.
Each Oeuvre disinfection chamber contains 44 UVC LEDs positioned on the ceiling, floor, and concave rear wall of the chamber. The chamber is lined with a highly reflective coating designed to maximize UVC light dispersion.³
During the one-minute cycle, the LEDs continually expose the stethoscope to UVC light within a wavelength range of 260–270 nanometers at 750 milliamps. UVC light disrupts microbial DNA and RNA, resulting in cell death.³ ⁶
